Give yourself the benefit of slowing down this Holiday Season.

Easier said than done, we know. It is difficult not to stress during this time of year, with all the different family, school, social, and work-related events plus all the gift shopping and wrapping and giving. 

Here are some tips to help you make the most out of it without losing your sanity. 

  1. Give yourself permission to say no. Choose which events you can go to and send your heartfelt thanks to the others. 
  2. Be mindful when eating and drinking, and when conversing and sharing. The sharing is the core of this season. 
  3. Notice your breathing when driving or running errands. Stop once in a while and take a few deep breaths. 
  4. Unplug as much as you can from social media and the internet. Use your time to spend with loved ones, to send cards, read, watch holiday movies and catch some sleep.
