On Sunday, October 25, The Leslie Hotel becomes the starting point for a special Hispafest 2026 Art Walk through South Beach.
Beginning at 11:30 AM, visitors will gather at The Leslie Hotel on Ocean Drive to experience the work of Kristen Thiele and learn more about the ideas and influences behind her practice.
The morning is designed as a relaxed cultural experience rather than a traditional gallery tour. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist and curator, spend time with the works, and join a conversation about contemporary art within the unique setting of a historic Miami Beach hotel.
From The Leslie, the group will walk north through South Beach to Nassau Suite Hotel and Blue Lavender Cafe & Market, where the work of multidisciplinary artist Marine Fonteyne is on view. The experience concludes at Blue Lavender with additional artwork, conversation, and refreshments.
Created by the Bright Foundation, Hispafest connects diverse communities through art, supporting artists and celebrating creativity, cultural exchange, and shared experiences.
Through the participation of The Leslie Hotel, Nassau Suite Hotel, and Blue Lavender Cafe, Hispafest also explores an idea particularly relevant to Miami Beach: that meaningful encounters with art do not have to happen only inside museums and galleries. Hotels, cafés, historic buildings, and neighborhood spaces can also become places for cultural discovery.
The exhibitions are curated by Nubia Abaji, with Verónica Medina as Curatorial Collaborator and Cultural Host.
